West Beach Football Field

Apex Turf Group was engaged by Limonta Sport Australia to design and install a full-size synthetic football field at West Beach — an 8,510m² project that represented a significant milestone for both the client and our team.

This installation marked the Australian debut of a new high-performance turf system that has since been rolled out across the country. The system brings together three key components: our 45mm Hero Shape Turf, a 10mm Trocellen Shockpad, and Ecotherm infill — each chosen for the specific performance benefits they deliver at field level.

Ecotherm is a 100% recyclable infill product engineered to reduce pitch surface temperatures compared to conventional rubber infill alternatives. For a football field exposed to full sun, this makes a meaningful difference to player comfort and safety during training and match play. Beneath the turf, the Trocellen Shockpad provides consistent, reliable shock absorption across the entire surface — an important factor in meeting the performance and safety standards required for competitive football.

The project was completed on schedule and handed over in full working condition. The pitch was being put to use the very next day — a result that reflects the planning, efficiency, and attention to detail our team brings to every installation, regardless of scale.
