My journey into synthetic turf didn’t begin with grass — it began in joinery and cabinet making, where I developed an appreciation for precision, attention to detail, and the pursuit of quality. Every millimetre mattered, and that mindset has stayed with me ever since.

From there I became a qualified builder, expanding my understanding of construction, project delivery, and the value of strong client relationships. Wanting to broaden my knowledge further, I went on to study Renewable Engineering at university, where I developed a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and thinking beyond conventional solutions.

After university I returned to construction as a Site Manager, delivering complex projects and coordinating teams, trades, and stakeholders. But I was still searching for something that combined everything I loved about the industry.

That opportunity came when I discovered the world of synthetic sports surfaces — transforming large spaces and delivering football fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and multi-sport facilities. It blended construction, engineering, precision, and creativity into one industry, and I knew I’d found where I belonged.

Today, Apex Turf Group doesn’t just install synthetic grass — we work closely with every client to understand how a space will be used, solve the challenges it presents, and create the greatest long-term value.
